Featured in the Guardian, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle, ESEA Lit Fest was launched in 2023 to sell-out success by Maria Garbutt-Lucero and Joanna Lee, co-founders of the ESEA Publishing Network, in partnership with Foyles and supported by Hachette UK and their employee network THRIVE, Curtis Brown and Conville & Walsh. It showcased seventeen ESEA writers across literary fiction, non-fiction and poetry, as well as an Asian Dessert Exchange fundraiser hosted by Jenny Lau for Hackney Chinese Community Services and the ESEA Reads Tree, an interactive artwork designed by Kenn Lam. The festival won a PPC Award and was shortlisted for the British Book Awards PR Campaign of the Year 2024.
